Yerly ‘Susa’ Lozada, a 10-year-old influencer, died in an accident when a public transport bus collided with the motorcycle she was riding on in the department of Huila, in southwestern Colombia. Yerly ‘Susa’ Lozada and her sister, Argebis Lozada, 31, were traveling on a road that connects the towns of Pitalito and San Agustín on September 12 when the driver apparently lost control of the bus and crashed into them. Local media reported that the vehicle suffered a mechanical failure before crashing into the motorcycle. Yerly Lozada was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Argervis Lozada was rushed to San Antonio Hospital, where she remains hospitalized and is expected to be discharged on Tuesday or Wednesday. “It’s something we thought would never happen, something so horrible,” her brother, Yomar Lozada, 25, told DailyMail.com on Monday. “It’s a tragedy that’s really painful.” The brothers were known throughout Colombia as ‘Yomar, Tecla and Susa’ and created comedy sketches for social media from their home in the countryside.

Yomar Lozada recalled that he and his brother, Johan Lozada, 15, began posting videos in early 2021 before deciding to incorporate Yerly Lozada. The humorous content revolved around a humble family: Argebis Lozada played the role of mother while her three other brothers acted as her children. ‘Susa brought joy (to the videos). I told him, ‘You can do it,’ Yomar Lozada said. “She was a happy girl, very content.” The youngest of nine siblings – her oldest died 14 years ago – Yerly Lozada dreamed of finding fame as an influencer and even modeling in the Andean nation. The fourth grader’s main goal was to help her siblings raise money to build her mother a house where she could operate her fried pastry business instead of on the streets. “She had very, very big dreams,” Yomar Lozada said. “I don’t know, from one moment to the next everything changed.” She said the brothers had recently finished a video featuring her late sister and had held conversations with their parents about whether to continue creating content or quit. ‘She was the promoter of the page,’ said Yomar Lozada. ‘So it’s very difficult for me because I go to the page and see. This affects me, my brothers, my mother and my father very hard.’
