Wes Foster, who was badly injured in a fire at Wynnewood Refining, died recently as a result of his injuries from the refinery fire.
He was one of two Wynnewood Refining employees who were badly injured in a fire at Wynnewood Refining at Highway 77 and Powell Avenue. On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, around 8:20 a.m., a fire broke out at the refinery’s gasoline hydrotreater.
Wes Foster and Eli Warren were the two employees who were hurt in the fire because they were near the explosion and were engulfed in flames, according to reports. Warren’s injuries were not disclosed, despite the fact that Foster had 93% of his body burned.

Carla Parish, a woman who lives near Wynnewood Refining, said after the horrible fire occurred, “I was gardening when the fire erupted.” I heard a boom and looked around, then I heard another boom, followed by a massive cloud of black smoke.
