Warren Eaton, 48, the victim died after being struck by a car Saturday and a 16-year-old boy arrested in connection with it.

The teen allegedly chased Warren Eaton onto a junction at Alfred Street and Mayers Street outside the Raintrees Shopping Center in Cairns at around 7.45 p.m. on April 1. Afterward, according to the police, he allegedly shoved and hit him on the street. The 16-year-old is then said to have left Mr. Eaton lying on the road, where he was later fatally hit by a passing vehicle. The individual was confirmed dead at the site despite the efforts of the paramedics to revive him. On Monday, the adolescent was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter. The Manoora boy, 16, was denied bail and will appear in Cairns Children’s Court.

16-year-old boy accused of murdering Warren Eaton

The 48-year-old man and the 16-year-old boy were both known to one another, according to Detective Acting Inspector Alina Bell.
