Viola Medlin Singletary, Gloria Medlin McCrimmon, and Cheryl Elaine Medlin Wiki – Biography
Viola Medlin Singletary, 74, Gloria Medlin McCrimmon, 72, and Cheryl Elaine Medlin, 63, were traveling on Highway 690 in Moore County on Wednesday when a 2023 Kia crossed the center line and collided with their car, according to State Highway Patrol officers. The horrific crash entirely demolished the sisters’ silver 2010 Hyundai, killing them as well as the driver of the Kia. Thursday would have been the youngest of the sisters’ 64th birthday.
Suzanne Beasley, a passenger in the Kia and the lone survivor, was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries, WRAL reported. According to police, the crash occurred around 10:59 a.m., when the still-unidentified driver of the Kia came speeding around a bend and collided with the sisters’ vehicle, which Singletary was driving.

Three sisters were killed in a collision in Moore County
Relatives said they were heading out to pick up a truck, with the family preparing for Medlin’s 63rd birthday on Thursday. The family will be holding a balloon release in her honor. Beasley’s cousin, Wayne Davis, said he was on the road when he witnessed the brutal crash and rushed in to help, only to find his cousin involved in the fatal wreck. “I hadn’t seen my cousin in eight years and there was blood around her face,” Davis told WRAL.”I couldn’t recognize that was my cousin.”
Davis claimed that the collision sent the Hyundai spinning out of control toward his own vehicle, with engine components “flung at my work truck while I was riding down 690 highway.” The impact was so powerful that both automobiles’ engines were ripped out. The investigation is still underway, according to the State Highway Patrol, but preliminary findings indicate that Kia’s speeding and irresponsible driving contributed to the incident.
