Tyler Schindley and Krista Schindley Wiki – Tyler and Krista Schindley Biography
Tyler Schindley and Krista Schindley, Georgia parents were arrested for child abuse and neglect after their famished 10-year-old boy was seen wandering around their neighbourhood looking for a grocery shop to beg for food.
Tyler and Krista were detained by Gryphon Police after their neighbours discovered their emaciated boy missing on the streets on Friday, with the child asking the officers to “please not make him go back.” They claimed the youngster had been purposefully malnourished and weighed just approximately 36 pounds when he was recovered, which is roughly the weight of a typical 4-year-old.
“This child was simply starved to death, and it is tragic,” Gryphon District Attorney Marie Broder said at a press conference on Tuesday. I genuinely feel that if he had not escaped from that family, the outcome would have been extremely different.” The parents were accused of locking the youngster in his bedroom and leaving him alone in the house for “extended periods of time, and on multiple occasions, with no access to lights, food, clothing, or adult interaction and/or assistance,” according to court filings.

They allegedly denied the 10-year-old hot water, outside views, toilet paper, and human connection, and even beat him at one point, causing severe injuries. The malnourished infant was sent to a neighbouring hospital, where he is being treated for malnutrition and a low heart rate. The youngster also suffered from “dental injury and disfiguration” as a result of his hunger, which his parents allegedly did not cure.
“This case is just disturbing,” said Broder, who has spent the majority of her career prosecuting suspected child abusers. “It’s incredibly heartbreaking.” There were additional children in the home, according to officials, and they have since been placed in the custody of the state’s Department of Family and Children’s Services. The Schindleys have been charged with felony criminal attempts, false imprisonment, two violence counts, and three counts of cruelty to children.
