YouTuber Tiago Eugenio died after spending 80 days in a coma following a terrible car accident. The Portuguese star suffered serious injuries after the accident that occurred on the Algarve highway on June 23, from which firefighters had to remove the 28-year-old from the vehicle. But he came back online in 2021 and said he learned not to open any negative messages and to “move on” with the help of his family. Eugenio wrote on Instagram that the coronavirus confinement was “hard” but had allowed him to have time disconnected, which he described as “regenerative and therapeutic.” He often posted selfies on Instagram, and the last one was posted on June 1, just days before he was left in critical condition in the car accident.

Emergency services responded to the scene near the town of Boliqueime on June 23 at around 5am and found Eugenio trapped in the wreckage of the destroyed car, according to reports. Firefighters carefully removed the star, who was unconscious, before taking him to Faro Hospital. Eugenio spent 80 days in an induced coma before passing away on Thursday, and his friends joined his mother in paying tribute to the YouTuber. A friend posted a photo of her and her husband with Eugenio on her wedding day with the message: ‘My dear friend, you will never be forgotten, you will always be in my heart, rest in peace my friend. ‘I leave here a memory of such an important day for me that you were part of, I thank you for everything you did on this day. Until one day my friend.’ Another friend wrote: ‘I want to send my deepest condolences to all of Tiago’s family, friends and fans! I’m still in shock. ‘She was one of the first people who believed in me from the beginning. And knowing that today we lost a fantastic person leaves my heart in my hands. ‘I had already thanked him several times, but I want to thank him again for how important it was for him to believe in me.
