Terry Vetsch, 60, was detained following an alleged incident with one of his neighbors’ friends, 51-year-old Jeffrey Hinkson, who had temporarily pulled into Vetsch’s driveway to do a U-turn. Vetsch had been watching surveillance cameras overlooking his driveway when he became enraged at another car performing the rapid maneuver on his property. He is accused of ranting as he marched out of his house, equipped with a Taurus 9mm pistol in his pocket, which he then pointed at Hinkson’s head.
Vetsch fired the gun at the victim’s backseat window before the next-door neighbor noticed and told him to stop, resulting in an argument. Vetsch began berating him for being on his property before pointing his gun at the victim’s head and arguing with both of them. Vetsch consented to allow Deputy Munoz of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office to see security video of the event.

Terry Vetsch Arrested
It showed the victim arguing with Vetsch and following him toward his home, but they had not trespassed onto his property when Vetsch pointed the gun at their head. According to the Miami Herald, Vetsch stated that he assumed the victims were a neighbor named ‘Jason’ with whom he had previously argued.
Vetsch was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill. He was arrested and is being jailed at the Flagler County Inmate Facility on a $50,000 bond, with his next court appearance due on July 10; in the meantime, the victim secured a restraining order against him. Most of the time, not regulating your anger does not work. In this case, it landed someone in the Green Roof Inn,’ Sheriff Staly said, referring to the county jail.
