Taylor Schabusiness, 25, pounced on defense attorney Quinn Jolly after the judge in the gruesome murder case suggested delaying the trial by two months. Shocking video of the spontaneous and violent outburst shows Schabusiness sitting calmly in a Green Bay courtroom as Judge Thomas J. Walsh recommends starting the murder trial on May 15 instead of March 6, a suggestion he made to Jolly’s request. Apparently angered by the decision, the accused murderer throws herself at the lawyer, who was sitting next to her, hitting him with her elbows and handcuffed wrists. A security guard quickly tackles Schabusiness to the ground, the chaotic clip shows. At one point, the guard’s utility belt is wrapped around Schabusiness’s toes, which were left exposed after he lost his shoes in the fight. After several minutes, two other guards help pin Schabusiness down until he calms down.

The bizarre explosion came after Jolly asked Walsh for an extension to show that his client was not competent to stand trial for the gruesome murder of 25-year-old Shad Thyrion in February 2022, Law and Crime reported. Schabusiness allegedly decapitated Thyrion during intercourse, continued to perform sexual acts on her lifeless body, and mutilated her corpse with a serrated bread knife. She then put his severed head and penis in a bucket and other body parts in a clay pot, leaving them for her mother to find, prosecutors say. The woman, who is married to another man, was found by police at her home covered in her blood, records show.
She reportedly told police that they would “have fun trying to find all the organs.”
Schabusiness has pleaded not guilty to mental illness or defect, but she allegedly admitted to police that she went “insane” during the deadly romp. She told detectives that she and Thyrion had been smoking methamphetamine before going to her mother’s house to have sex while wearing chains. She also said that she did not intend to kill him, although she reportedly admitted that she sat on the victim and “waited for him to die” while she coughed up blood.
Yeah, I liked it,” Schabusiness said of choking Thyrion.
Jolly had told the judge that she needed more time for a defense expert to review the case and testify on the jurisdiction of her client.
A court-appointed doctor deemed Schabusiness competent to stand trial last year, but defense attorneys rejected the diagnosis. Jolly said Schabusiness was previously diagnosed with bipolar disorder and has received mental health treatment since she was in seventh grade. Schabusiness faces charges of first-degree intentional manslaughter, mutilation of a corpse and third-degree sexual assault.
