Stacie Roper was born in Sherwood Park, Alberta, and eventually relocated to Calgary, where she died. She graduated from Hay Lakes School in 1993 and worked in a variety of jobs before pursuing a music career. Stacie was a gifted singer-songwriter, and her heavenly voice captivated many listeners, particularly as the lead female vocalist for Hey Romeo, a Canadian country band.
Stacie joined Hey Romeo in the early 2000s and quickly became an important member of the group. Hey Romeo published many albums, including their self-titled first album in 2008, which featured many of their most well-known songs, including “Searchin’ for You,” “Hello Patio,” and “Let Me Down Easy.” Stacie’s powerful vocals provided depth and emotion to the band’s songs, earning them several honors and nominations, including the CCMA Award for Group or Duo of the Year.

It’s just not fair that you’re no longer here to brighten up any room with your big, lovely smile. You were like the sun in human form. You were sincere and courteous to everyone you encountered. My heart goes out to everyone who is going through a difficult time right now. I know she’s singing with the Angels on a large stage with all the legends who have passed on far too soon.
