Sara Lee, a former WWE wrestler, apparently committed suicide late last year. According to TMZ, the 2015 Tough Enough winner died in October 2022 at the age of 30, and an autopsy report from the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed her cause of death.
According to the publication, she drank a lethal combination of alcohol and pills and left ‘letters of intent at the scene’ before her death. Lee also had abrasions and bruises on her head and torso at the time of her death, according to the records. However, it is believed that her injuries were caused by a drunken fall.

Lee, who has two young children with her husband, former WWE star Wesley Blake (Cory Weston), joined WWE in 2015 after winning their reality competition show. She signed a one-year contract with the company and made her debut in January 2016 during an untelevised NXT event. Her final WWE match before her departure was alongside Liv Morgan versus Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, and she continued to train in the ring for several years before marrying Blake in December 2017.
On October 5, she tweeted a selfie of herself in the gym with the caption, ‘Celebrating finally being healthy enough to go to the gym 2 days in a row first ever sinus illness kicked my butt.’ Her mother confirmed her death on Facebook, saying her daughter had ‘gone to be with Jesus’ and requesting time for the family to grieve. It is with heavy hearts that we wanted to announce that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus,’ she wrote at the time.
‘We are all in shock, and the plans are incomplete. We sincerely request that you allow our family to mourn. Prayers are needed for everyone, but especially for Cory and her children.’ WWE led tributes to the late star, writing, ‘WWE is heartbroken to learn of Sara Lee’s loss. Lee served as an example to many in the sports-entertainment field as a past “Tough Enough” winner. WWE’s sincere condolences go out to her family, friends, and fans.’
