Slotkin, who serves in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, issued a statement on X (formerly known as Twitter) in response to the synagogue’s announcement of Woll’s death. “I and the entire Slotkin team are heartbroken by this news,” Slotkin, 47, wrote. “Sam worked for me almost from the moment I became a congressman, helping us establish the office and run it during my first full term.” Nessel shared a photo of her and Woll together and wrote on X: “I am shocked, saddened and horrified to learn of Sam’s brutal murder.” “Sam was the kindest person I’ve ever met,” Nessel, 54, continued.
