Sam Rimmer, 22, the victim – Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was shot to death in the street.
Sam Rimmer was with friends in Dingle, Liverpool on August 16, 2022, when electric cyclists on Laverock Bank started shooting, Merseyside Police said. The force said two men, ages 21 and 22, were detained after five arrest warrants were executed. Four other men had previously been arrested and released on bail. Mr. Rimmer was taken to hospital after the shooting at around 23:40 BST but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Two suspects arrested in the murder of Sam Rimmer
The 21-year-old man from Netherley and the 22-year-old man from Dingle are being questioned in police custody. Earlier this year, Rimmer’s mother, who shared her son’s birthday, said his death had “broken our family.” She said that he “had to be a father and he was so excited to have a baby.” Intelligence inspector John Holden said: “I urge anyone who has information and hasn’t come forward yet to do so.” Please don’t assume over time that we already have this information or speculate about how important it might be.
