Sabrina Peckham Wiki – Sabrina Peckham Biography
Sabrina Peckham, 41, was identified by police Saturday as the victim dragged by the beast into a canal along a residential street in Largo, a small community just four miles south of Clearwater. The homeless woman was captured by Pinellas County deputies around 6:30 a.m. on July 14 for trespassing in a county wetland just a half-mile from where she was found dead Friday, court records show. Peckman ignored signs warning against trespassing. After pleading no contest to the misdemeanor, she was released from the county on September 8 and ordered to pay $500.

Investigation Report
It is unclear where the transient woman went in the two weeks before she was discovered dead in the canal. Records show she had a history of run-ins with police dating back to 2014, including multiple charges of breaking and entering. Peckman also had multiple drug and robbery convictions against her. Investigators are still trying to determine if Peckman was killed by the alligator. A witness heading to a job interview was the first to see the 13-foot, 8.5-inch male alligator carrying his body and rushed to alert the nearby fire department. Authorities “humanely killed” the huge reptile, although neighbors said lifeguards pulled it from the water and shot it several times. The area is near popular Ridgecrest Park, which includes a 5-acre lake known for housing alligators. Alligators routinely roam the neighborhood, according to residents, but the one that died Friday was one of the largest some have ever encountered.
