The woman was in the trunk when Sanders made several stops, including Desert View Hospital and a Mexican restaurant, before returning to the victim’s home, according to the arrest warrant. Sanders allegedly forced the victim into a nearby abandoned trailer home after removing her from her Honda and covering her with a tarp, according to the arrest request. The victim was allegedly sexually assaulted once again by Sanders.
However, the woman was able to get help from a neighbor after she woke up the next morning. She was taken to a nearby hospital, but there are no updates on her health as of Tuesday afternoon.
