Rolf Harris, the disgraced former performer who was convicted for a string of indecent assaults on girls, died at the age of 93.
Following a trial in 2014, Harris was found guilty of a series of indecent assaults between 1968 and 1986 and sentenced to five years and nine months in prison. In 2017, he was released from prison, although he never apologized to his victims. Harris was a popular family entertainer in the United Kingdom before his misdeeds were revealed.

Rolf Harris’s Cause of Death
On May 10, he died of neck cancer and “frailty of old age” at his house in Bray, Berkshire, according to his death certificate, which was registered on Tuesday. “This is to confirm that Rolf Harris recently died peacefully surrounded by family and friends and has now been laid to rest,” his family announced in a statement. “They want that their privacy to be respected. There will be no additional comment.

Serial abuser and ex-entertainer dies aged 93
” Harris was initially convicted guilty of 12 attacks on four females, mostly in the 1970s and 1980s, following a trial at Southwark Crown Court. One conviction, for allegedly indecently assaulting an eight-year-old girl, was later reversed.
However, the Court of Appeal denied his request to overturn the remaining 11 convictions. Two girls in their early teens and a friend of his daughter were among the victims.
Rolf Harris Career – The Portrait of the Queen
Harris had been a well-known personality in the entertainment business in Britain and his native Australia for more than 50 years before his crimes were revealed. He arrived in London in 1952, at the age of 21, and went on to host a number of children’s and variety shows, as well as animal and art series. In 2006, Harris created a picture of the late Queen to commemorate her 80th birthday.
During his career, he received an OBE, MBE, and CBE, as well as a Bafta fellowship, but he was deprived of the medals after his convictions. The court heard during his sentence that he was a “sinister pervert” who used his celebrity to get close to young ladies and girls.
“You have shown no remorse for your crimes at all,” the court stated. “Your reputation is now in shambles, but you have only yourself to blame.” Harris spent his time at Stafford Prison in Staffordshire for three years. After his release, he returned to the home he shared with his wife, Alwen, in Bray, Berkshire, whom he married in 1958. Bindi was the couple’s daughter.
