Rebecca Bliefnick, 41, was found dead by a relative at her home in the 2500 block of Kentucky Road in Quincy after failing to pick up her three children from school. She was discovered shot to death in her home.

Her husband, Tim Bliefnick, 39, lives on the property, and the couple is understood to be in the process of divorcing, the outlet reported.
Police Chief Adam Yates said in a statement: “The Quincy community has not experienced a crime of this magnitude since early 2019. Every death is tragic; the circumstances of Bliefnick’s murder are incomprehensible. Our community is shocked, nervous and wants answers.” .”
“When a crime like this occurs, our mission becomes ensuring that there is justice for the victim and that a sense of safety is restored to our residents,” the statement added.
“We are fortunate to live in a community where violent crime like this is rare,” Yates added. “When it happens, it’s devastating. Nothing I say here tonight will reassure our community. Making an arrest in this case is the only way to do it. We’re working hard to make that happen. This investigation is our top priority.” priority.”
