Ralph Apmann Wiki – Bio
Convicted murderer Ralph Apmann, the subject of a statewide fugitive search alert, was found dead Friday night at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued an attempted trace alert when Apmann failed to appear for his murder trial on February 13 in Windom, Minnesota.
Ralph Apmann was 58 years old.

The BCA alert noted that Apmann, 58, was believed to be armed with an AR-15 and a 9mm handgun and possibly in the Twin Cities subway.
Apmann had been missing since he failed to appear for his trial in a Cottonwood County district court last Monday. The next day, he was convicted in absentia of second-degree murder in the August 2021 death of Juan Morales-Rivera.
A criminal complaint says it happened during a fight outside the Phat Pheasant Bar in Windom, when Apmann allegedly strangled the victim until he stopped struggling.
Apmann posted bail after being charged with the August 26, 2021 murder of Juan Morales Rivera at a bar in Windom, and then failed to appear in court for trial. He was convicted in absentia on February 14.
Apmann’s body was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death.
