Patricia Zaccario and Michael Zaccario Wiki – Biography
Patricia Zaccario, 73, and Michael Zaccario, 76, were found dead of gunshot wounds inside the CareOne Wellington facility in Hackensack at 8:51 a.m. Saturday. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said the Zaccarios were Wood-Ridge residents. Hackensack Mayor John Labrosse Jr. said Michael Zaccario is believed to have shot his wife, before turning the gun on himself and pulling the trigger. Patricia Zaccario had a terminal illness and lived in the nursing home, it is understood. Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Elizabeth Rebein said: “The incident is believed to be domestic.”

Two seniors were killed in a murder-suicide at a nursing home in New Jersey
Police are not looking for anyone else involved in the deaths. The District Attorney’s Office and the Hackensack Police Department continue to investigate. CareOne spokeswoman Anna Robinson wrote in a statement: “We are deeply saddened by the tragedy that took place today at our Wellington building. ‘Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the victim. We will provide our staff and residents with the support they need during this difficult time.
“CareOne is fully cooperating with the local police department and intends to respect investigative procedures and the privacy of those affected.” Nursing home company CareOne operates 55 assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. In New Jersey, they have 36 homes, with additional locations in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
