Olivia Marsden, 24, was discovered dead at her home in Derbyshire’s Greenback district on June 18. Her cause of death was not determined by a post-mortem examination. A guy in his 30s was detained on suspicion of murder, while a lady in her 50s was arrested on suspicion of supporting an offender. Both have since been released on police bail while officers undertake further inquiries.

Tributes to Olivia have been posted on social media since her death was announced by police. One person wrote that the news ‘makes me feel anger I’ve never felt before in my life’, adding: ‘I love you my girl forever and always.’ Another said: ‘This is so wrong, I live just minutes away from where this happened and it’s so sad, that poor lady and her family having to deal with the aftermath of this.
Olivia Marsden Death: Police Investigation Report
Last week, balloons were let off from Pygrove Park in Glossop, south of Hadfield, in memory of Olivia. A Derbyshire Police statement said: ‘Olivia Marsden was found deceased at her home in Greenbank after the North West Ambulance Service was called just after 4pm on June 18. A post-mortem has taken place, however, the cause of the 24-year-old’s death has yet to be found. Formal identification has taken place, her family are being supported by specialist officers and we ask that their privacy is respected at this time.’
