Nicholas Lloyd Webber dies at the age of 43, his death coming after father Andrew Lloyd shared on March 23 that his son had been transferred to hospice and was “fighting” gastric cancer.

Nick’s death comes a week after Andrew shared in a March 18 statement that his son was “critically ill” with gastric cancer. He said at the time that he was “absolutely devastated” by his son’s diagnosis.

He has now been moved to a hospice. and he is fighting away”.I think he’s over the worst of this first bout of pneumonia that he had as a result of his cancer, which is horrible,” the musician and father of five continued. “But we’re all here and the family here has come together, and I think it was the right place for us all to be.” And while he was “absolutely gutted” not to be at the opening night of Bad Cinderella on Broadway, Andrew added: “My place is here in England right now.”
