Nasser Abu Hamid, a 50-year-old Palestinian cancer patient who was jailed in Israel, died there after a prolonged illness as a result of medical negligence, according to the Detainees Affairs Commission. Abu Hamid was a founding member of Fatah’s al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade and participated in the infamous 2000 Ramallah lynching and carried out shooting attacks. This resulted in the death of seven Israelis. In 2000, Abu Hamid participated in the Ramallah lynching which resulted in the death of three Israelis. In 2002, he also organized and supervised three terrorist attacks.

He was sentenced to life in prison for the fatal terrorist attacks he planned and carried out after being arrested numerous times for terrorism-related offenses. Later that year, he was sentenced to life in prison. He was a participant in the Ramallah lynching he was in Israeli custody for a long time and passed away this morning. The Palestinian Authority accuses Israel of misconduct. The Israeli government was accused of “deliberate medical negligence” by the Palestinian Commission for Detainee and Ex-Detainee Issues.

Nasser Abu Hamid dies in Israeli prison

At 6 am. local time today, relatives of Abu Hamid and the Palestinian Authority Authority announced that the senior Fatah leader had passed away in an Israeli prison. Abu Hamid’s cause of death was cancer. Abu Hamid, who had been sentenced to seven life sentences for his role in killing Israelis, died of cancer while receiving treatment at a hospital.

However, until Israel returns his body, his family members said they would observe mourning customs. Hussein al-Sheikh, the Palestinian Authority Minister of Civil Affairs and Abu Mazen’s handpicked successor, formally made a similar request. The Palestinian Authority claims that Israel is currently rejecting this request. His death was mourned by several Palestinian militant groups, which also organized strikes at Palestinian Authority public schools and declared a day of national mourning.
