Monique Lezsak, A young mother who was allegedly stabbed to death in Melbourne’s southeast on Tuesday morning had ambitions to become a police officer, according to her former husband.
Monique Lezsak was recalled as a “great mum” by her children’s father, Jye Carter, who apparently found out about her murder after friends forwarded him media stories of a stabbing near his former partner’s home. “I just want to say that she is the most beautiful person,” Carter said to reporters near the crime site, according to The Age. “She’s a wonderful mother.” One of our children has autism, and she has given her all to our children and her own family. “I couldn’t find fault with her in any way.”

The Homicide Squad is looking into the event
Around 7.30 a.m., police received a report of “an altercation” between a man and a woman in the Endeavour Hills residence, with the lady, thought to be Ms. Lezsak, confirmed dead at the scene. Authorities believe the two people knew each other, and the man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition while under police guard. Ms. Lezsak and Mr. Carter’s 9-year-old twins are believed to have been inside the home when the alleged stabbing occurred, and police are not looking for anybody else in connection with the crime.
The tragedy on Tuesday came only days after Tatiana Dokhotaru’s death was discovered in her Sydney flat after authorities received an anonymous triple-0 call from the victim less than 24 hours prior. On Saturday, police discovered the 34-year-old’s body after a worried neighbor phoned authorities. Danny Zayat, her 28-year-old boyfriend, was arrested and is facing domestic abuse charges.
