Mohan Muruganantharajah, 27, ran into the water at the Sgwd Y Pannwr waterfall in Breacon Beacons to save the youths at around 4.40pm. on Friday. Both children were pulled from the water, but tragically Mr. Muruganantharajah disappeared from sight. Emergency teams including police, air ambulance, fire teams and mountain rescue experts were called to the scene but Muruganantharajah could not be saved. The body of the qualified pilot was located using underwater cameras and was recovered the next day. Friends paid tribute to the pilot and said he “touched so many lives”.
