Michael Allen, 35, a man has been identified as the victim of a stabbing attack in Cornwall. Officers were summoned to the area of Victoria Square on Castle Canyke Road at 3.15 a.m. on Sunday after receiving a report of a major altercation. Michael Allen, 35, of Liskeard, died. Someone was in possession of a knife, and several persons had stab wounds, according to police. On Sunday, a 24-year-old Bodmin man was detained on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Magistrates granted police an extension today to provide them more time to detain the suspect. Seven more men and women were hurt and sent to the hospital. Five individuals have now been released, with two still in the hospital recovering from surgery following the incident, according to police.
Mr. Allen’s family has since shared a photograph and an homage to him.
“Mike was simply a much-loved son, brother, grandson, and uncle who loved his dogs,” they stated. “His family respectfully requests privacy at this time.” A memorial place has been established at Bodmin Rugby Club, where people can come to remember the victim.
