Meshay Melendez and Layla Stewart Wiki – Bio
The Vancouver Police Department says the bodies of a missing mother, Meshay Melendez, 27, and her daughter Layla Stewart, 7, were found in a rural area near Washougal on Wednesday.
The mother, Meshay Melendez, 27, and her daughter, Layla Stewart, 7, were last seen on the morning of March 12. A car that police believe belonged to Melendez was found a short distance from the 7700 block of Vancouver Mall Drive on March 12. On March 19, police arrested Kirkland Warren, a person of interest in his disappearance, on charges of witness tampering, violation of domestic violence orders, and possessing a firearm. Police believe Warren was the last person Melendez and Stewart were with before they disappeared.

Found Dead in Rural Area, Investigation Report
On Wednesday, around 9:40 a.m. m., the Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious circumstances call at SE Sunset View Road in Washougal. The caller reported that there appeared to be two “life-size mannequins” right next to the road, on an embankment. Deputies then responded to the scene. The next of kin of Meshay and Layla have been notified and the cause of death and manner of death is pending a report from the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.
