Melissa Kinsella, A young mother of three whose heart stopped beating after she slumped at a Turkish airport has been deemed “clinically dead,” according to her relatives.
Melissa Kinsella, known to her family as Missy, was driving home from a family vacation with her husband and children when she had a seizure and stopped breathing. Her buddy started a GoFundMe page to assist in covering her Turkish medical bills, which totaled £1,800 per day for her care and an air ambulance ride home. Ms. Kinsella, 30, of Moreton, Merseyside, was flown back to the UK on May 24 after raising more than £50,000.
However, her grieving parents have now indicated that nothing else can be done. Her mother, Michelle Heathcote, posted on Facebook, “Our hearts are broken forever.” Tests show she is clinically dead after 12 days of fighting for our beautiful daughter’s life.” We have no words to convey how we feel, but we want to thank everyone who helped us bring her home in any manner.” Ms. Heathcote later revealed that her daughter was a donor and was undergoing surgery to donate her organs.

Rebecca Dath, Ms. Kinsella’s friend who organized the benefit, also paid tribute on social media. “I can’t believe I’ll never hear your voice again (except for voice notes that I’ll keep forever),” she wrote. “I’ll never get one of those phone calls for which I’ve prayed for the past 12 days.” I am heartbroken for your family, your girls, and your friends. “I’ll miss that dirty laugh and the disgusting stories with too much information.”
