Mario Luis Chavez, 42, is accused of approaching a girl in front of a convenience store in the 17600 block of Bellflower Boulevard near Ramona Street around 10 p.m. on February 16, asking where he was going, then forced the girl into her vehicle and drove away from her, according to the Sheriff’s Information Office.

Detectives with the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station on Monday searched for additional potential victims of the man accused of sexually assaulting a girl in Bellflower.

Authorities Searching For Potential Victims Of Suspected Bellflower Sexual Assault

Chavez allegedly proceeded to sexually assault the victim while he was in the car, described as a white 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, detectives said. Chavez was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has an Aries symbol on his left forearm, an “M” on his right hand, “Long Live Them” and a face tattoo on his left bicep.
