The alleged fraud treated patients at Shore Medical Associates in Toms River, New Jersey, for 15 months from March 2022 to June 2023, using a relative’s name and medical license as cover, prosecutors said. The owner of the license was cited as Dr. Fe Almazon-Condit, who is listed as a specialist in internal medicine on various health websites. She is also listed as a USCIS Designated Civil Surgeon by Shore Medical Associates.

Woman posed as doctor, prescribed medications
Macburnie allegedly prescribed a series of medications to the patients and filed several insurance claims, according to prosecutors. Macburnie was arrested Wednesday and taken into custody at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing. Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office teamed up with members of the Economic Crimes Squad and DEA agents participated in the arrest. Information from Macburnie’s attorney was not immediately available.
