Police Investigation
Williams said investigations revealed Madeline returned home after dropping off the children around 8:15 a.m. The father spoke to the police and told them that he left the residence at 10 a.m., only to return home to find Madeline missing. “We believe that Maddi’s disappearance is unintentional, suspicious, and we are all concerned for her safety,” Williams said, adding that there is no indication that she left the residence on foot or in another vehicle. Her cell phone, wallet, and identification were found at the home. Police say they obtained surveillance video showing a van similar to Madeline’s, a dark blue 2014 Chrysler minivan, leaving and returning to the area of her home between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Williams said.
Authorities said they could not share information at this time about who was driving it, but asked residents to check cameras on her property, including the doorbell and security cameras. “Look for someone passing by, look for a dark blue minivan,” Williams said. “If you have a camera, save any video from March 31 and contact the police. There are no suspects at this stage, with police investigating the case as a missing person with the prospect of foul play. Officers and volunteers have searched nearby areas, including by vehicle, on foot, by water, and by air. “We are very hopeful of finding her,” Williams said.
