Lynne Leyson Wiki – Lynne Leyson Biography
Farmer’s wife Lynne Leyson, 52, was leading a gang caught with £60,000 worth of cocaine, £15,000 worth of cannabis and a 9mm pistol, behind the facade of being a rural mother on the family farm in southwest Wales. She fled before being jailed for nine years, and her mugshot was handed over to all UK police forces along with a false name (Annelyn Caldicot) she could be using. Her husband Stephen Leyson and her son Samson were jailed for a total of 17 years in July after police raided the farm. But Lynne Leyson disappeared before appearing in court to face justice and was sentenced in her absence by her judge, who said she appeared to be “deliberately attempting to evade justice”. A judge said the mother was a “dominant force” who played a “leadership role” in the drugs enterprise, with several people under her control. The court heard officers attacked Pibwr Farm, near Capel Dewi, Carmarthenshire, in the early hours of October 27, 2021. They recovered more than £60,000 worth of cocaine, £15,615 worth of cannabis, a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and cash, which they claimed came from a “house sale”.
Lynne Leyson is 52 years old.
Police also discovered two dealers in Pembrokeshire, who worked on behalf of the family to sell drugs, including one known as “Mr Pickles”. Swansea Crown Court heard husbands Stephen and Lynne Leyson denied wrongdoing when questioned. Lynne Leyson was found guilty by a jury of conspiracy to supply cocaine, conspiracy to supply cannabis and possession of criminal property. An arrest warrant was issued after she previously failed to appear in court for sentencing, and she has now been jailed for nine years in absentia. Judge Catherine Richards said: ‘Lynne Leyson has decided not to attend the sentencing hearing. She appears to be a deliberate attempt to evade justice. And she added: “She presented herself at trial as someone who controlled several people who worked for her in this serious crime.” Stephen Leyson, 55, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for conspiracy to supply cocaine, possession of a firearm, conspiracy to supply cannabis and possession of criminal property.
Her son Samson, 24, was sentenced to six years in prison for conspiracy to supply cocaine and conspiracy to supply cannabis. After the case, a neighbor said: ‘We just couldn’t believe it. “They seemed like a normal farming family, well, a little rough like a lot of country people. Lynne seemed very normal actually, not a cocaine dealer like her. It’s all very strange. An appeal from Crimestoppers said: ‘Arrest inquiries have been carried out at known addresses where Lynne is likely to frequent. These facilities are located in Carmarthen and parts of Swansea. To date these have been negative inquiries. Investigations carried out to date have produced negative results.
