Lewis Bush the suspect – After a much loved’ grandma was discovered dead in her home, a 25-year-old man has been charged with her murder.
Kelly Pitt, 44, was discovered at a block of flats by officers dispatched to the area. Lewis Bush has been charged with Miss Pitt’s murder at her house in Newport, Gwent. Bush, of Moorland Park in Newport, was remanded in custody and will appear before county court tomorrow.
The victim’s family described him as a “lovely person on the inside and out.” Kelly was adored by her grandchildren, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. ‘She was a lovely, caring mother and a devoted grandmother,’ stated her family. She was an all-around gorgeous soul, a lovely person on the inside and out. She was intelligent, witty, and willing to help anyone.
Kelly was taken far too young, and we are crushed by what has happened; she was taken in such a horrible way that we will never be able to accept. We would like to thank the emergency services for their prompt reaction, as well as the police for their assistance during this terrible time.’

Man, 25, charged in the death of Kelly Pitt in Newport
Officers have stated that no one else is being sought in connection with the killing in Newport, Gwent. Friends and neighbors have put flowers at the scene to pay homage to the ‘beautiful’ mother. I’ve lived above her for two years, she’s a beautiful person,’ one neighbor remarked. I can’t believe it happened. The cops confiscated my flowers and placed them near the flat.’
‘I’m going to miss having someone so beautiful and honest living next to me,’ added another. She will be sorely missed.’ I’ve known her since I was a youngster and she’s always been so sweet, which makes my heart hurt for her even more because she wasn’t a horrible person,’ a friend added. Gwent Police have issued an appeal for information after she was discovered ‘unresponsive’ on May 12 at around 11.30 a.m.
