The body of Office star Mackenzie Crook’s missing sister-in-law Laurel Aldridge has been found, Sussex police confirmed after searching for the 62-year-old woman for 11 days. Aldridge disappeared from her home on February 14 and was captured on her doorbell camera as she was leaving her home in Walberton, West Sussex.
However, her family became concerned after she missed a scheduled chemotherapy session. She was last seen later that day at Slindon Cricket Club, some two and a half miles away.

“She left the house with nothing but what she was wearing, no keys or phone. She has not been seen since,” he said according to the Daily Mail. “She missed her fifth chemotherapy session last Tuesday and we believe that that is what has triggered some kind of crisis in her and she has gone for a long walk somewhere. Crook, whose wife Lindsay is Aldridge’s sister, also told ITV that her disappearance was “very out of character” and her family was “obviously very concerned”. She previously asked the public to search her gardens and premises for places where she may have sought refuge overnight. Aldridge was wearing a turquoise fleece, a maroon tartan scarf, and a brown hat the morning she disappeared, photos released by police show. Since her disappearance, officers have conducted large-scale house-to-house investigations. Specialized search dogs were also deployed to search for her. A police helicopter, drones, and specialized equipment were also used.
“We would like to thank the public for the information they have provided us thus far,” Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges previously said. “Our officers have been working around the clock on multiple lines of investigation and are determined to find Laurel. We are working closely with Laurel’s family, offering support and providing regular updates on the investigation.”
