Kirsty Bohan and Lukas Joyce, two young kids were killed in an Easter weekend tragedy in Ireland after a car driven by a 13-year-old boy crashed into a tree. The two 14-year-olds were in the car when it crashed just before 6 a.m. on Easter Monday outside Headford, County Galway. Lukas, who was believed to be in the passenger seat, was murdered instantly, while Kirsty, who was seated in the back, was brought to the hospital but died shortly after.
Both the juvenile driver and another adolescent girl who was riding in the rear with Kirsty are being treated at the hospital. The injured kid was sent to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where she was in critical condition yesterday. The driver’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. According to Dublin Live, the four youngsters were buddies and second-year students at Presentation College Headford.

Tributes
The school, which is presently on Easter break, stated in a statement last night that they had lost “two treasured members” of their community. ‘We pray for all the families and friends of those involved to find peace and comfort during this awful time,’ they wrote. ‘We also pray for our school community, that we may find the strength to support one another and continue. We ask for your prayers, as well as room to grieve as a school community.’ Even though pupils are on vacation, the school has opened their study hall this afternoon from 11 am to 2 pm to support anyone who is affected by the tragedy.
‘You are all invited to come and enjoy a cup of tea in a warm and safe setting,’ they added. Yesterday and today, members of the public were photographed placing flowers at the disaster site. ‘As a community, we are all thinking of the two families who have lost their loved children,’ local councilor Andrew Reddington told the Irish Mirror yesterday. A gloomy cloud has descended on the Headford neighborhood. Everyone is thinking about the families of the young people who died yesterday night and is praying for those who are in the hospital. ‘As a community, we will gather together to help the families but urge everyone to respect the families who need to grieve the loss of their children.’

Officers investigating the incident
Gardai said that they are investigating the incident on the L6127 near Glennagarraun in the Ballyfruit area of Headford, County Galway, which occurred at approximately 5.45 a.m. ‘The single vehicle engaged in this collision had four individuals on board, two boys and two girls, all of whom were young teenagers,’ a spokesman told MailOnline. At the scene, one boy was pronounced deceased. The remaining three passengers were transferred to University Hospital Galway, where one of them was confirmed dead. The other occupants are still being treated at University Hospital Galway for their injuries. Officers confirmed the road has now reopened while specialists are engaging with the families of all involved. Gardai are now appealing for any witnesses and any motorists who may have camera footage.
