Kelli Bothwell was injured at a house on Main Street in Sprotbrough, Doncaster, on August 5. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but she died a short time later. A post mortem examination found that she died as a result of a stab wound. Paul Cousans, 52, of Main Street, Sprotbrough, has been charged with his murder, South Yorkshire Police said. On Monday the scene was guarded by three uniformed men while two detectives continued to make inquiries inside the houses, while policemen with blue gloves were seen entering and leaving the property. Residents living in the town, which has a large elderly population, expressed their horror at the crime after police arrived in the area around 8 p.m. on Saturday night. Nicky Kenyon, the only resident of the row of houses who lives outside the cordon, said: ‘It’s a wooded town that has been home to my family. I was outside with the dogs when it happened. “Everything was cordoned off on Saturday night, the whole town. There was nothing in town apart from police cars.
