Keano Byrne, the 26-year-old was last seen strolling with another man in Stockport on March 26, and his disappearance was reported on March 27. At around 12:10 BST, police officers came upon a body in the river close to Reddish Vale Country Park. Two previously detained men, ages 26 and 30, have been released while an investigation is ongoing.

Official identification will soon take place, and according to Det Ch Insp Liz Hopkinson, investigators are investigating Mr. Byrne’s disappearance as a murder “following information revealed during the investigation. Mr. Byrne, a resident of Gorton, was last seen early on March 26 walking with another man toward Reddish Vale from Brinnington’s Northumberland Road. “This is a difficult time for Keano’s family, and they are being kept informed of the ongoing investigation as well as receiving support from specialized officers,” Det Ch Insp Hopkinson said.
She urged anyone who was in Reddish Vale on March 26 between 03:30 and 06:30 BST or who saw Mr. Byrne after he vanished to get in touch with the police.”We are looking for CCTV, dashcam footage, images, or any accounts of suspicious behavior around that date as this will bring us one step closer to finding out what happened to Keano and help us understand the full circumstances.”
