Investigators have not discussed a possible motive behind the brutal murder.Taylor’s brother, Marcus Sanders, told The Oregonian that during one of the last times she spoke to her sister on the phone, she told him that she would stay with Fritsch.Sanders said he thanked her sister’s roommate for taking care of her, to which Fritsch reportedly replied, “No problem at all.” he struggles with drugs and alcohol, according to his ex-husband of less than a year, Dennis Taylor.”At times, Kara struggled to find an inner sense of worth and belonging,” the man said. “And then when we broke up, it was hard for both of us.”When Fritsch opened her house to him, Kara Taylor was unemployed and recovering from surgery.Her heartbroken family said of Kara that she was a selfless and cheerful woman who had a quick laugh and loved “unity.”“She was just a happy-go-lucky person and she enjoyed many of the same things that I enjoyed,” her husband said.Meanwhile, Fritsch’s younger brother, Karl Fritsch, said that Jamon suffered from a possibly undiagnosed mental illness. He added that he was not “totally surprised” by her arrest.
