Julius Holley was accused of one count of second-degree burglary, one count of first-degree murder, torture of animals, one count of burglary, and one count of stalking. He allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house and stole his Yorkshire Terrier mix and various items. Holley then sent him videos of him beating and torturing the dog. Later, a house dumped the dog in a bucket and Michigan Humane took him away to ensure his safety.

I am happy to say that the dog involved in this case, after receiving medical attention from our team, is doing very well and has returned home. Holley was wanted by authorities after the alleged animal abuse. The police tracked him down in Ohio. He was later extradited to Michigan, Under Michigan law, any person who tortures or kills a pet with the intent to cause suffering or mental anguish to a person, or to exert control over a person, is guilty of a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Holley was given a $200,000 bond/cash. Holley was also arraigned on an outstanding 2019 warrant and was given a $50,000 cash bond/bond in that case. He is scheduled for a hearing on Monday.
