Ntchisi police arrested a 27-year-old shop owner for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl who went to his shop to buy sweets at the store. According to the deputy spokesperson for the Ntchisi police, the shop owner, identified as John Nsalu, is alleged to have coaxed the girl into her shop while she promised him more sweets. He then chased away the victim’s friends. While in the store, Nsalu allegedly raped the girl three times and then threatened to kill her if he revealed her sexual abuse to anyone of hers.

Man arrested for rapping 5-year-old girl
The matter came to light when the victim’s grandmother noticed a strange movement in the child. She asked and the victim narrated the sexual abuse. The grandmother reported the matter to the police, which led to the arrest of the culprit. Nsalu will appear in court soon to answer the charge of desecration contrary to section 138 of the penal code.
