Job Uriah Taylor, a man is charged with attempted murder and a hate crime after police say he struck a black man and a black woman with a metal pipe following an alleged attempt to harm another black man who was walking by dogs. Police said: “Taylor yelled various racial slurs at the victim. Police also claimed that after the initial assault, the suspect fled on a bicycle and was nowhere to be found. Hate crimes have no place in Santa Monica
Police said: “The mission of the Santa Monica Police Department is to safeguard the rights of all individuals, regardless of disability, gender, national origin, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and/or association with a person or group with one or more of these perceived characteristics. Authorities further added: “Hate crimes have no place in Santa Monica,” PATCH reported.

Authorities reported another incident in which a suspect hit a victim with an umbrella and sprayed urine on them while he hurled racist epithets at them, according to reports.
