Jermiera Ivory Fowler, an Alabama woman who went missing earlier this week is presumed dead after a burnt body with gunshot wounds was discovered.
Jermiera Ivory Fowler, 31, was reported missing in the state and was in danger, according to law police. According to AL.com, Fowler was last seen at 4 p.m. on Wednesday in the 500 block of 41st Street North in Birmingham.
Police initially stated that Fowler, a mother of two, was intending to meet someone to purchase an item from Facebook Marketplace, but they later stated that they could not corroborate that detail. Then, about 9 p.m. Thursday, authorities received a report of a body on fire in the 1000 block of Sellers Road, which is in a wooded part of the Roebuck area of Birmingham, according to ABC 33/40.

According to WBRC-TV, citing the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the deceased had gunshot wounds and was set on fire. The case has now been classified as a homicide.
There have been no arrests. Fowler was described by authorities as 5-foot-6 and 250 pounds, with shoulder-length hair. She might have been dressed in a black gown and black shoes.
