Died After Brutal Robbery
Oakland police said the attack occurred on the afternoon of February 6 in the parking lot of a Wells Fargo bank located less than a mile from her store, Angel Cakes, according to CBS News. A man then approached her vehicle and jumped into it to grab her bag, before fleeing the scene in a hit-and-run car.
That’s when Angel decided to run after the robbers to get her bag back, but instead she got caught in her car door and was dragged more than 50 feet, NBC Bay Area reports, citing authorities. According to reports, she had sustained life-threatening injuries and slipped into a medically induced coma. Angel was pronounced dead three days later.
