Jehane Thomas, a mother of two who rose to fame on TikTok, tragically passed away at the age of 30 after months of crippling migraines.
Jehane Thomas, from Doncaster, had more than 66,700 followers on the video-sharing platform, where she uploaded videos about her daily life, such as preparing her children’s lunches and sharing shopping on the street. According to loved ones of the social media star, her death on Friday was “totally unexpected” and has left her family “heartbroken.”
In recent months, Jehana had been documenting her health issues on TikTok and she explained how she had recently been diagnosed with optic neuritis. The extremely painful condition is caused by inflammation of the optic nerve, which carries messages from the eye to the brain. Jehane had been in and out of the hospital over the past few weeks, updating her followers on her treatment. In the latest video of her on TikTok, which was shared four days ago, Jehane was in the hospital, waiting to be operated on for her condition. ‘I can’t lift my head without wanting to get sick and I can’t walk, I need to be wheeled everywhere.

That’s how strong this pain is,” the mother wrote in the caption of the video. Jehane had checked into A&E and was awaiting surgery at the time she filmed the video. She had just been released from a week-long stay in the hospital when what she called pressure migraines caused by her condition returned, forcing her to return to the hospital. She has set up a Go Fund Me page to help finance the funeral of the mother of two, who is survived by her sons Isaac, three, and Elijah, one, raising £9,585 so far.

Jehane’s best friend, Alyx Reast, has taken tributes online, writing: “Jehane Thomas was a 30-year-old mother of two when she passed away suddenly on 03/17/2023.” Despite suffering from migraines and bouts of illness for several months, her passing was totally unexpected and we are all absolutely heartbroken. ‘Her two of her children have been left without her mother… Jehane: I promised I would do what I could for those children, so that’s what I promise to do. I love you.
