Jason Moore and Amanda Moore Wiki – Biography
Jason Moore, 36, and Amanda Moore, 35, turned themselves in Aug. 11 on charges of manslaughter, endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person.
At approximately 10:45 a.m. on November 29, 2022, the Caln Township Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive 4-year-old boy. When officers arrived, they saw Jason performing CPR on the unresponsive boy, which he continued until emergency crews arrived and took over. The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead. An investigation found that both Jason and Amanda left for work that morning around 7 a.m., forcing their 13-year-old son to stay home to care for their other children, ages 4 and 3. Investigators learned that the night before, the couple’s 4-year-old son complained of a headache and was reportedly sweaty. Before putting the boy to bed, the parents gave him Tylenol and a bath. The boy fell asleep on the couch, the prosecutor’s office said, waking up once at 4 a.m. before going back to sleep on the couch. While the parents were at work, the 13-year-old told them that he couldn’t wake the 4-year-old, so Jason returned home and called 911 shortly after 10:45 p.m.

Fentanyl found on lollipop after death of 4-year-old ruled homicide
Investigators returned to the home and collected items the victim came in contact with, including two clear water bottles with unknown liquids, a blanket, and a half-eaten lollipop, which were recovered from a trash can inside the victim’s bedroom. the accused. On January 23, 2023, the lollipop stick tested positive for small amounts of fentanyl, the prosecutor’s office said, and just a few days earlier, the coroner’s office reported the presence of fentanyl in the victim’s body. He was later reported to have fentanyl in his heart blood and brain tissue. The prosecutor’s office said a forensic pathologist in the coroner’s office provided the opinion that it would have taken about three hours for the fentanyl to metabolize into the compound found in the boy’s blood. Investigators also learned that Jason Moore allegedly used fentanyl at the home where the victim died, and when detectives removed Jason’s phone from his vehicle, they claimed to have found drug paraphernalia in the driver’s seat that was also seized and reported positive for fentanyl.
Investigators allege Jason delayed calling 911 to clear drug paraphernalia from the bedroom where the boy was found. Jason and Amanda provided hair samples to detectives on January 20, 2023 to test for narcotics use. Chester County detectives said Amanda’s hair sample tested positive for fentanyl, amphetamine and methamphetamine. She provided another hair sample in March, which detectives used to find a timeline of drug ingestion, the prosecutor’s office said, if one existed. On May 30, laboratory results from hair samples reportedly confirmed Amanda’s use of fentanyl, with the laboratory opining that she was a chronic and repeat user of narcotics. Bail was set at $250,000 for each defendant and both were booked into Chester County Jail. Amanda and Jason are not allowed to have contact with any children, including their own, the prosecutor’s office said. They are scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on August 23 in Downingtown.
