Another victim who was once known as Jane Doe No. 7 has been identified by police who are looking into the infamous Gilgo Beach killings. Suffolk County authorities will identify the victim at a news conference Friday, nearly three decades after her legs were found in a plastic bag at Davis Park on Fire Island’s Blue Point Beach on April 20. from 1996. WABC was first to report the latest finding. At the time of the discovery of the remains, investigators could only determine that the victim was a white female with several distinctive scars, including evidence of surgery on her left ankle, according to the Doe Network.

Another Gilgo Beach victim identified | REPORT

Her skull was found on April 11, 2011, near the partial and dismembered remains of Jane Doe No. 3, also known as “Peaches,” off Ocean Parkway, west of Tobay Beach in Nassau County. Last month, Massapequa Park architect Rex Heuermann, 59, was arrested and charged with the deaths of three women whose remains were discovered a few miles further east on Ocean Parkway near Gilgo Beach in December 2010. Investigators have yet to confirm if Heuermann is also a suspect in the deaths of several other remains, including those of Jane Doe No. 7, Peaches, Jessica Taylor and Valerie Mack, who were found nearby.
