Ms. Binge-Olive and her brother waited 58 minutes for an ambulance, before opting to drive to Casino and District Memorial Hospital.She was later sent home after receiving a stitch in the eye and paracetamol.A month later, Ms Binge-Olive was in her car outside a Coles supermarket when she had a seizure and died.Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting that there is any link between her injuries and her subsequent death. Her great-aunt, Paula Coghill, is now demanding answers from the hospital and the ambulance that she never showed up.Ms Coghill said her niece was distraught when medical staff allegedly stitched up her eye, gave her paracetamol and sent her home earlier in the year.”Jamikka was terrified for her life and her family as well,” she told 9News.”We couldn’t understand why she wasn’t hospitalized, why she wasn’t kept.”Ms Coghill is now trying to irritate her local community into opening an investigation into the death of her niece.

Mother Jamikka Binge-Olive’s death sparks calls for public inquiry

A peaceful protest was organized outside the Casino police station on Friday in an effort to put pressure on the system.“We want some accountability, we want some answers and we are looking for a public inquiry,” Ms Coghill said.Family members, including Ms Binge-Olive’s sister, daughter and mother, will be at the protest.A spokesman for the NSW Northern Health District declined to comment on the matter, saying it would be inappropriate as the matter now rests with the coroner.A woman who was an acquaintance of Ms Binge-Olive was indicted for the alleged beatings in June. Candice Drew, 21, appeared in Lismore Local Court on July 29, where she faced a charge of assault.She was granted bail and is expected to appear in Local Casino Court next month.Ms Binge-Olive’s family has created a GoFundMe to help “help ease the pain” of her surviving family.”Jamikka had a heart of gold, she was the mother of two young children who will never see her mother again,” the description reads.More than $1,000 in donations have already been given to her family, who still have a ways to go before reaching the $10,000 goal.
