Jacky Oh!, a former Wild ‘N Out celebrity, died in Miami on Thursday at the age of 32, according to TMZ. According to the site, the artist, whose full name was Jacklyn Smith, stated she was in Miami for a mommy makeover’ in a social media post that she later removed. In a message on Wild N’ Out’s Facebook page Thursday afternoon, a BET Media Group spokesman confirmed the untimely death. ‘We are extremely grieved by the death of Jacklyn Smith, also known as Jacky Oh around the world, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will be long loved and lost,’ said a spokeswoman. ‘Throughout the five seasons of Wild N’ Out, Jacky Oh was a dear friend and beloved coworker.
‘More significantly, she was a fantastic mother to three lovely children,’ the statement read. The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time.’ DC Young Fly, 31, and Jacky initially crossed paths in 2015, the same year he emerged as a personality on the MTV series. The pair, who never wed, are parents to three children – daughters Nova and Nala and son Prince. She was already one of the Wild ‘N Out personalities at that time. She was no longer on the series and had been involved in marketing a lip gloss line titled the J Nova Collection. DC Young Fly, whose real name is John Whitfield, had been in Atlanta filming new Wild ‘N Out episodes when he was apprised of the sad news.
