Jacklyn Zeman, who played Barbara “Bobbie” Spencer on ‘General Hospital,’ has died at the age of 70. On Wednesday night, May 10, the show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, tweeted the sad news. “On behalf of our ‘General Hospital’ family, it breaks my heart to announce the passing of our beloved Jackie Zeman,” Valentini tweeted, adding: “She was a shining light and true professional who brought so much positive energy to work, to the Just like her character, the legendary Bobbie Spencer.”
Zeman’s cause of death has not been released. While she’s best known for her role in ‘General Hospital,’ here are five unknown facts about the actress. Zeman was a dance student at New York University on scholarship. The actress graduated from Bergenfield High School at the age of 15. In 1972, she served at the Playboy Club as a Playboy Bunny.

Soap opera legend who played Bobbie Spencer on General Hospital passes away
Leman first appeared on television in 1976 in “One Life To Live,” in which she played Lana McClain. Zeman then appeared in “The Edge of Night” in 1976 as Bobbi. Zeman was passionate about becoming an actress. Zeman was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1981, 1995, 1997, and 1998, along with a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1998. She was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award for Favorite Villain in 1979, an Indie Series Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her performance in ‘Misguided’ in 2020, and an Indie Series Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her role in ‘Misguided’ in 2018.
On September 16, 1979, she married Murray Kaufman, better known as Murray K, a DJ, but they divorced in 1981. Then, in 1985, she married Steve Gribbin, which also didn’t work out, and they divorced in 1986. In February On January 14, 1988, Jacklyn Zeman married Glenn Gorden for the third time. They divorced on June 21, 2007. Zeman and Gorden had two daughters, Lacey Rose, and Cassidy Zee. Zeman was close friends with Shell Kepler, her ‘General Hospital’ co-star. Zeman delivered a eulogy at Kepler’s funeral. Zeman was also close with Anna Lee, another co-star.
