Iris Rivera-Santos, 29, is charged with endangerment of injury to a minor, hindering prosecution, tampering with evidence and cruelty to persons, the Stamford Police Department announced Friday. A Connecticut mother was arrested on related charges a month after police named the boy’s father as the suspect in her son’s death.

As part of a plea deal, she was released from prison in May 2022 after 60 days, though he was sentenced to five years behind bars.
