Harrison Gilks, a popular TikTok user who tried to cross off everything on his bucket list, passed away at the age of 18 after winning the hearts of his fans.
The family of the Canadian adolescent has announced that he passed away “peacefully” with his parents, brother, and mother by his side. On March 30, he passed away after continuing to update his over 314,000 followers on the social media network on his battle with cancer.
In November 2020, Harrison received his initial diagnosis of the uncommon kind of soft tissue cancer. Doctors discovered spots on his lungs and a sizable tumor in his prostate at the time. In February 2022, after several months of chemotherapy and radiation, he was informed that he was in remission.

TikToker dies at 18 of cancer
But sadly, he received the awful news that it had returned and was incurable in June of last year. He chose to share his story on TikTok after hearing the news and has attracted over 314,000 followers.
“This isn’t the normal type of stuff I post, but I found out today that I have terminal cancer,” he stated in a video posted on June 29 of last year. “For a little period, I was cancer-free, but regrettably, it returned. I’d like to develop a small series, which is why I’m doing this and making it public. I’m going to do a lot of things I’ve always wanted to do, including skydiving and other such activities.
Despite sharing a series of films in which he attempted to live life to the fullest, he continued to be upfront about the grim outcome he knew he was facing. Videos of him at a music festival, flying in a helicopter, meeting some of his favorite sports figures, and taking several trips were among those that soon helped him build a sizable social media following.
Sadly, he provided a sobering update on his failing health a week before his passing. Speaking to his supporters from his hospital bed, he said: “One of my lungs is filled with fluid, and cancer has gone to my liver. Prayers are the best thing you folks can do for me. I’ve been praying a lot lately. Pray for my family and me. It’s been an amazing journey.
David, Harrison’s brother, claimed on Harrison’s account earlier this week that Harrison was not in pain when he passed away.
