Businessman Harish Palagummi, 43, went missing on Tuesday from Christison Park in Vaucluse, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
A massive search has been launched for a missing businessman who went missing near a notorious cliff-top suicide spot. He has not been seen since. He left his Sydney CBD office at around 3pm. Later, his car was found parked in the seaside park perched on sheer cliffs that plunge into huge waves that crash against the rocks below.

World’s largest Internet restaurant chain
Palagummi, a venture capitalist and CEO of online grocery store Geezy Global, last spoke to a family member around 7:30 p.m. meter. Tuesday before disappearing. His company is a global brand based in Bangalore, India, specializing in so-called dark kitchens. Dark kitchens are often delivery restaurants with no physical presence. They are typically established by established companies to provide additional streams of income.
On his website, Mr Palagummi’s company says: ‘We help local restaurants, hotel chains and bars increase their revenue potential by maximizing customer reach. “We optimize underutilized kitchen assets and human labor through our virtual delivery-only brands.”
Dark kitchens have seen an explosion in popularity during the pandemic and Geezy is behind some of the popular brands currently operating in Sydney. Businesses run by the company include Indian, Korean and Thai restaurants.
Geezy claims it is building the “world’s largest Internet restaurant chain” and has more than 2,000 brands in six countries using its platform. Police and the family say they are concerned for Mr Palagummi’s well-being.
Subcontinental Indian appearance
“When he was unable to return home and could not be contacted, officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were notified and investigations into his whereabouts began,” the NSW Police Force said in a statement. He is described as being of subcontinental Indian appearance, about 182 cm tall, with a slim build, short black hair and a wispy beard.
He is believed to be wearing a pair of blue jeans and a business shirt, and is known to frequent the Linfield and Vaucluse areas. The location is near con artist Melissa Caddick’s $7 million Dover Heights mansion.
She was last seen leaving the mansion after corporate watchdog, the Australian Securities and Investment Commission, raided her home in a $20 million fraud investigation. She was never seen alive again, and her foot was washed ashore on a remote beach near Tathra, on the south coast of New South Wales, three months later, in February 2021.
